Driving Miss Daisy

A celebratory dress! I received some good news sometime last week and bought this dress from Forever 21 as a gift to myself. I love 90's grunge babydoll silhouettes and this has an exciting twist at the back, j'adore!
It's going to be an interesting year.

Snapshot: Laneway Festival 2014

shirt: Cheap Monday / leggings & hat: H&M / shoes: Superga

Back in January, I went to Singapore with a few friends for Laneway fest. I was pretty much there just to see Chvrches (amazing; Lauren is too cute), Haim (energetic though so-so) and Jagwar Ma (only 1/2 came). I also discovered some good new acts (Frightened Rabbit, Kurt Vile) & a really terrible one (The Observatory - not a wonder they aren't famous outside of the island).

dress: Cotton On / shades: Monki

I tried my best to get as many good shots of myself in the city. I still can't get over how self-conscious I am when people catch me taking pictures of myself / people taking pictures of me. I'm a pretty confident person, so this is just another reason why I won't be that great as a fashion blogger, lol.

 Singapore Highlights:
  •  cosy nook, great company and lots of interior prettiness at Loof
  •  ice cream bread - enough said

Monki Business

plaid shirt: Monki / dress: American Apparel /  flatforms: Superga / socks & beanie: Monki

I think if you scroll through my "stylin'" tag, you'll see that majority of my wardrobe consists of Monki pieces. As a proud ex-Monki girl (Carnaby London, hollaaaaa!) I have exciting news, Monki is finally opening in Malaysia on 30 April 2014 at the new Nu Sentral mall at KL Sentral!
I'm flying to London and Berlin in 2 weeks and I absolutely CANNOT wait to see all my old Monki girls and LCC classmates left in London. I touchdown in KL on the 29th so if I'm not too jet-lagged hopefully I'll make the Monki Nu Sentral launch the next day.

So You Think You Can Style?

I'm a finalist!
I've always thought I've had the chops, so when the question asked: so you think you can style? Hell fucking yeah, I definitely think I can!
The event is tomorrow and I've been quite mellow about it but since I've seen the other contestants' entries I feel slightly intimidated right now. I've never styled under pressure before especially with a limited selection together with another person. Fingers crossed we get this tomorrow because that grand prize (about RM2,000 in value) is too sweet to give up. Bring it on, bitches!
I mean, none of the other contestants has ever had Alexa Chung tell them she liked their outfit, have they? #nicoleisashowoff

After nearly a year I'm still not done crying
I hate myself for it
But I've stopped watching Hollywood's bullshit
And I feel a little better now
Sometimes it's a game: how little I can go in a day and I tell myself, this is finally something that I can control.

Now read this shit backwards.
